Roster openings for 2022/2023 Season

Players wanting to tryout for our 11U, 12U, 13U and 15U teams should register for an evaluation and you will be contacted to set up an evaluation during one of our regularly scheduled practices.

11U Eligibility - 2 Roster spots available. Players must be born on or after May 1, 2011

12U - Rosters are Full! Teams are headed to Cooperstown, NY the weeks of June 21st-27th and July 9th-15th.

13U - CATCHER NEEDED! Team is headed to Triple Crown World Series in Vail, CO, the week of July 18th-23rd. Players must be born on or after May 1, 2009.

15U - One roster spot available(Team headed is headed to Music City Mania in Nashville, Tennessee June 21st-24th 2023). Players must be born on or after May 1, 2007.

Prior to attending tryouts, any NEW(non-current) players must be registered for a "Tryout/Evaluation" using the drop down menu under "Registration" in the tool bar above. There is no tryout/evaluation fee.

12U Montgomery wins 12U CCYB Championship

Lightning 12U-Montgomery were losing 10-0 after two innings of play in the semi-final game against the Irvine Dolphins. But the team never quit. After a 5-run third inning and chipping away with two more in the 4th, the score was 10-7. Both teams scored a run in the 5th inning but the Dolphin lead would dissolve as the Lightning scored 3 runs in the 6th to tie it up. In the 7th, the Lightning held them and put up a run to win the game in walk-off fashion.

In the Championship game against Next Level Baseball, the Lightning came out to an early 6 to 1 lead. Their opponents added 4 runs in the top of the 5th to make it 6 to 5. An insurance run in the bottom of the sixth inning would be all the Lightning would need to win the CCYB league title by a score of 7-5. Congrats to all our players, coaches and parents on a great spring season.

14U Lightning wins USSSA Strike Out Hunger tournament

After a rough(0-2) start on Saturday which saw our 14U squad seeded 7th out of 7 teams, the team fought back on Sunday to knock off the number 2 seeded Dirt Dawgs 15 to 2. In the semi-final game the Lightning upset the number 1 seeded Corona Crush by a score of 12 to 11. Finally, the boys avenged a 4 to 6 Saturday loss to JGB by knocking them off in the championship game by a score of 2-1.

Lightning 11U-Dopf wins AAU Blizzard Baseball Tourney

The Lightning were seeded third after going 1-1 in the Saturday pool play games with a 4-6 loss to BPA followed by a 9-7 win over Stars N' Spikes. In the semi-final game on Sunday, the Lightning again knocked off Stars 'N Spikes by a score of 11-3 which earned them a shot at the title. In the championship, Lightning overcame an early 3-0 deficit going on to win the by a score of 12-7.

14U Wins Triple Crown Tournament

Lightning 14U was seeded 6th after pool play going (1-1) on Saturday with a loss to CBA Victus Navy followed by a win over the SoCal Birds. In the Sunday playoff round, the Lightning eliminated the CBA Victus Gold by a score of 17-0 followed by an 8-2 extra inning victory over the San Diego Stars Blue to win the D2 Championship at the Triple Crown Season Opener at Steed Park.
